M.J. started as an interpreter (English/ASL) and was ordained into the United Church of Canada in 1989, working in congregational ministry and as a Long Term Care chaplain for almost two decades. She is a V.P. of Mr. Discount Ltd. and a partner in WTFest, now pursuing a Ph.D. in Theology. M.J. has served on various not-for-profit, charitable, and foundation boards, including the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies and Massey Centre for Women. She joined the Foundation after 11 years on the Empire Club of Canada Board of Directors.
