The honour of speaking at the Empire Club was, in previous years, best exemplified by the electronic publication of the Annual Red Book, which was published by the Empire Club of Canada Foundation. Each Red Book contained all speeches delivered that season (Fall through Spring the following year). In recent years, it was determined that the publication of the Red Book was no longer necessary as all speeches ever delivered to the Club are already contained in the research archives, known as the Digital Library.
This resource includes a search function allowing researchers to easily access the specific speaker or theme they are seeking. As a critical source of first-hand information, it is an invaluable research tool, providing granular and often unique insights into issues of public and policy significance.
With the objective of this information reaching as wide an audience as possible, the Empire Club Foundation ensures that the content is compatible with education and research. This ultimately contributes to the larger goal of ensuring better-informed debate, discussion, and policy creation.
